Featuring the club monster Gangsters, this full length player is packed to the brim with full on monster mashout’s.

Rico’s sound has developed over time with all his releases on Menu, and various other releases & remix’s on other labels. But we think that he’s hit the nail firmly on the head with this set. Bottom heavy UK garage influenced bass lines, hip hop samples, cracking snares, and Baltimore grooves. Rico pulls it all in to make a heady album for your feet. Not many modern breaks Producers can call on the amount of influences Rico has for his album.

Beatz & Bobz Show | Mr No Hands

 


We pleased to announce that on Monday 21st April we have a very special guest mix from Mr No Hands.

Every now and again an artist like Mr No Hands comes along breathing fresh air into proceedings with an unconventional approach to production and performance. Dave Clough aka Mr No Hands, a name inspired by his love for BMX tricks, is fast emerging as a creative force to be reckoned with through his ever popular video series which have accompanied his last few releases and seen his creative vision compared to the likes of Mr Scruff and Lemon Jelly.

He likes to make songs that go Pow! and Whop! and has released several of these on labels including Diverted Traffic, Envision and Sound Of Habib. ’Adrenaline Ltd’, his mighty collaboration with the Bassbin Twins, was awarded ’Tune of the Month’ in DJ Magazine and Mixmag rated his electrophonic smash ’Hit and Hope’, the same. His remix of Nuboy’s ’U Cant’ was widely hailed as one of the finest remixes of 2007 with support coming from DJs Ali B, Tayo and The Stanton Warriors. Meanwhile he’s been wowing crowds with his trademark ’exo-funk’ sound through his monthly residency at Air, Cargo, London, alongside fellow resident DJ Janette Slack and resident house band Diverted.

2008 sees the launch of Mr No Hands’ new forward thinking video-MP3 label, No Handed Music, a division of Ali B’s Air Recordings label with each release accompanied by one of his trademark animated films. Through his Youtube channel he has already enlisted an army of fans who regularly look forward to viewing his latest capers, which are typically crafted in a modernist lo-fi Lowry style, without the bad weather and the drab colours. He has also caught the attention of Myspace who have regularly featured him on their front page as a hotly tipped artist.

This guy is freaking Hot! Hot! Hot! so don't miss this special show. Plus we will have all the usual promos and slamming new tunes that were rinsing out and about in the clubs at the moment. MEGA RAVE!!!!

Proper wonk! of a show this week, and the last one till April now as I'm off on holiday for 3 weeks. Anyways its business as usual with plenty of fresh new breaks tunes and promos galore. Plus details of a mega competition in which you can win t-shirts, hoodies, stickers etc but you have to download the show to get the details and it involves you emailing us with your google map coordinates, it all makes sense trust me.

And thanks to everyone who voted for us at Breakspoll this year. Sadly we didn't win best radio show but we were nominated so yay. Next year it will be ours.
